Wingcopter Drones Fly Blood Samples in Germany

26 kilometers (16 miles) between Greifswald and Wolgast – that is the distance over which Wingcopter drones recently transported blood samples in the Northeast German federal state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. The flights were carried out by Greifswald University Medical Center in cooperation with DRF Luftrettung and Wingcopter as part of the MV|LIFE|DRONE Challenge project of the hospital’s Department of Anesthesiology. SeaGuardian Flies First Approved Point-to-Point UAS Flight in UK

The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority for the first time approved a point-to-point domestic flight of an unmanned aircraft that utilized the UK’s airways structure when General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) flew its MQ-9B SeaGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft from Lincolnshire, England to Moray, Scotland on Sept. 12, 2021. Continue reading
