US Soldiers Killed by “Friendly Fire” from UAS in Afghanistan

Two US soldiers were killed by a Hellfire missile fired from a U.S. Air Force Predator last week, in what appears to be the first “friendly fire” incident involving an unmanned aircraft.

Fukushima – 2 New Videos – Detail Inside Reactor Building

Over the weekend, Japanese energy company TEPCO released new footage taken by unmanned helicopters. The first clip is mainly overhead views with some scary vapours being emitted at one stage:

Unmanned Aircraft Count Trees in Oregon

An aerial remote sensing system studied by Oregon State University may provide a new way for the state’s nurseries to check inventories. OSU Willamette Valley trials are underway in conjunction with University of Florida and University of Arkansas researchers at three Oregon nurseries.
