Greece Issues RFP for UAS for Immigration Control

immigrationThe Greek government in a pilot project is expected to use UAS in order to be able to oversee the country’s sea border in the Aegean sea — which is considered one of the main avenues for immigration into Europe. UAS Survey Looted Dead Sea Sites in Jordan

JordanA video camera strapped to the nose of an unmanned aircraft first shows only a spinning, sunlit horizon in the barrens of southern Jordan. Then the camera swoops, low and slow, over a hilltop whose surface recalls photographs of the lunar battlefields of World War I Europe. DJI Phantom 2 Vision+

DJI has announced the release of the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+, the world’s first flying camera that captures stabilized HD video out of the box. The DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ features a built-in camera that shoots 1080p video at 30 frame-per-second (fps) and takes 14-megapixel pictures. The camera is mounted to a gimbal, an electronic stabilizer, ensuring the steadiness of the camera on 3 axes – pitch, roll and yaw – regardless of wind conditions or flight speed. Continue reading
