Researchers Develop Drone-based System to Detect Marine Debris

NOAA’s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS), Oregon State University, and their partners are developing a drone-based, machine learning system to detect and identify marine debris along the coast. Investing in India’s Drone Industry: Liberalized Rules, Production Incentives, Import Ban

The Indian Government wants to accelerate the development of India’s drone industry and turn the country into a drone hub by 2030. To this end, reforms for regulatory streamlining, production-linked incentives, and an import ban on drones (with the exception for R&D, defense and security purposes) have been introduced. AeroVironment Gets $8.5M Puma LE Foreign Military Sales Contract

AeroVironment, Inc.  announced that it received a $8,541,428 firm-fixed-price U.S. Department of Defense Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract award on Jan. 27, 2022 to provide Puma 3 AE small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), initial spares packages, training and support to an allied nation.
