Boeing and Kittyhawk Team up on LAANC Drone Authorizations

 Kittyhawk has announced a collaboration with Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, where the companies have started working toward being to offer digital airspace authorization directly from the FAA into Kittyhawk’s platform. Upon FAA approval, Kittyhawk’s elite enterprise customers will be able to receive digital authorization to operate within thousands of square miles of airspace in near-real time and will be able to send digital flight plan notifications. Intel Unveils New Drone Software Solutions

At AUVSI Xponential 2018, Intel disclosed details of Intel Insight Platform, a digital asset management system enabling effective aerial data management and analyses. It also demonstrated Intel Mission Control – next-generation flight planning software – and new updates for the Intel Falcon 8+ system: additional payloads for greater data capture, as well as distance hold and distance guard, both features of obstacle avoidance. TK-5 Firewatch Smart Mapping Integrated on ScanEagle

Insitu and Overwatch Imaging, have successfully integrated a customized TK-5 Firewatch smart tactical mapping payload on the ScanEagle UAS from Insitu. The Firewatch-equipped ScanEagle will provide real-time fire line maps and wide-area, high-resolution imagery intelligence for wildfire management, disaster recovery, and other applications.
