Solara – Five Years in the Sky at 65,000 Feet

Imagine a featherweight aircraft built of composites boasting an enormous 160 foot wing, swathed in solar cells that can take off at 20 mph and remain aloft for five years. The plane would fly at 65,000 feet, above most air traffic aside from the odd U-2 zooming past. AeroVironment and Dynamatic Technologies Sign Teaming Agreement for UAS

Dynamatic Technologies and AeroVironment, Inc. have signed a Teaming Agreement to address the growing global demand for Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The agreement provides for the manufacture of UAS in India, which will enable Dynamatic and AeroVironment to work together on a number of business opportunities for potential customers including the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
