Among the displayed systems was Simlat’s STAR (Stand-Alone) trainer, customized to train the operator observing a Hazardous Waste Plant, including recognizing residue effects, locating survivors, and providing real-time intelligence to first responders.

EURO HAWK to Fly from California to Germany on July 19
Northrop Grumman and Cassidian have announced that the first EURO HAWK will land in Germany on July 19, 2011. The aircraft, which will take off from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., is expected to touch down at the Manching Air Base at approximately 10:00 Central European Summer Time.
Texas Gets Second UAS for Border Patrol
A second unmanned aircraft will soon be based in Texas in an effort to help secure the U.S.-Mexico border. The Predator will be equipped with an electro-optical/infrared sensor system that vastly improves the operational effectiveness in CBP missions and is fitted with synthetic aperture radar suitable for flights in darkness and inclement weather.
US Navy Awards AME Contract for Joint Interoperable Target Control System
AME Unmanned Air Systems announced the receipt of a follow-on contract for the Joint Interoperable Target Control System (JITCS). This contract enables the continued development of standard Target Control System interfaces for the Common Interface Target Control System (CITCS). The contract was received on June 20, 2011, and has a three-year period of performance.
