Elbit Systems Gets $78 Million Contract in Europe

Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that it was awarded a contract from a European country to supply an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)-based cutting-edge intelligence solution. Valued at approximately $78 million, the contract will be performed over a two-year period by Elbit Systems’ ISTAR Division, established several months ago, as a result of combining Elbit Systems’ Electro-optics – Elop and UAS Divisions.
National Park Tests UAS to Track Fire Hotspots
While more than 625,000 acres of wildfires burned throughout the Pacific Northwest, crew members of the Insitu Rapid Response team launched a ScanEagle unmanned aircraft into the hazy skies above the Paradise Fire in Washington’s Olympic National Park.
