Taiwan has signed an NT$26.9 billion (US$ 847 million) contract to acquire more than 2,000 US-made attack and reconnaissance drones as it expands its asymmetric capabilities.
Mara was founded to neutralize the threat from FPV drone attacks. On August 26, the company announced a $7 million funding round to bring Spike, its integrated counter-UAS platform, from field testing to broad combat deployment. The campus will bring teams and capabilities from five leased Southern California locations together to strengthen collaboration across research, engineering, design, prototyping, and production.
Swarm Aero, a developer of large unmanned aerial vehicle swarms, recently announced over $10 million in contracts with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to perform research and development on the company’s novel, high-rate composite manufacturing approach and produce aircraft parts for the U.S. Air Force.
