Airbus Helicopters and the French Armament General Directorate (DGA) tested the unmanned aerial system (UAS) VSR700 for the first time in an operational configuration from a ship at sea. At the beginning of May, the VSR700 performed 80 fully autonomous take-offs and landings from a civil vessel equipped with a helicopter deck, cruising off the coast of Brittany in the west of France. AeroVironment has begun producing the latest Jump 20 tactical drones for Ukraine. The company’s CEO, Wahid Nawabi, said the drones, which are the company’s most advanced technology, will be sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as soon as the government is ready.

A heat-reflective poncho for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was developed in Rivne. In addition to shielding from the thermal imager, the cape also protects against water and wind, says one of the developers, Serhiy Smalyuk.
