Beihang Aeromodelling Team Claim Victory at the UAS Challenge 2024 Fly-Off

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers aerospace engineering competition celebrated its 10-year anniversary at BMFA Buckminster, with largest event to date. Grumman XF5F-1 Skyrocket – Grumman’s Ambitious Twin-Engine Carrier Fighter

The Grumman XF5F Skyrocket was a prototype twin-engined shipboard fighter interceptor. The United States Navy ordered one prototype, model number G-34, from Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation on 30 June 1938; its designation was XF5F-1. The aircraft had a unique appearance: The forward “nose” of the fuselage did not extend forward of the wing. Provisions were included for two 20 mm (0.787 in) Madsen cannon as armament. GA-ASI SeaGuardian Featured Again at RIMPAC

An MQ-9B SeaGuardian Unmanned Aircraft System from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is once again supporting the U.S. Navy during its Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise, this time for RIMPAC 2024. RIMPAC 2024, the world’s largest international maritime exercise, started on July 8, 2024, and continues operations through the month in areas throughout Hawaii. Continue reading →
