Manufacturer Plans 1,000 Riot Control UAS a Month

SkunkSpecialist surveillance company Desert Wolf is seeking to establish manufacturing facilities that can build at least a thousand Skunk unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) a month, in response to massive demand for the riot control vehicle, which is being developed into a whole family that can be used for a variety of duties, such as search and rescue, surveillance, LIDAR scanning and lifeguard.

Google Wants to Test UAS Internet Access in New Mexico

TITANGoogle on Sept. 12 filed a request with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) asking permission to access two frequency blocks for tests lasting six months. Scheduled to start on Oct. 6, the tests will be carried out above an area spanning over 1,400 square kilometers east of Albuquerque in the heart of New Mexico.

Orbital PR SEP 16Orbital Corporation Limited (Orbital) has delivered the first purpose-built ScanEagle Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) propulsion system to Insitu Inc, a subsidiary of The Boeing Company, for in-house testing and development. Designed specifically for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS) class UAVs, it is the first reciprocating internal combustion propulsion system to be engineered from the ground up for unmanned aerospace application.
