UK Increases Use of Armed UAS in Afghanistan
The proportion of British UAS using missiles in Afghanistan has doubled in the last five years, official figures show. In 2008, there were 296 missions over Afghanistan and one or more missiles was deployed by a British-operated Reaper on 14 missions, 5 per cent of the total number of sorties.
