UAV/UGV Joint Autonomy Demonstration


Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, using a UH-60MU BLACK HAWK helicopter enabled with Sikorsky’s MATRIX Technology and CMU’s Land Tamer autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), recently participated in a joint autonomy demonstration that proved the capability of new, ground-air cooperative missions. UAE Drones for Good Award Judges Named

Drone-for-Good-AwardThe Organising Committee of the UAE Drones for Good Award launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has revealed the names of the experts in the Judging Committee which will evaluate the participating projects and select the winners of the International and National Competitions to be held at Dubai Internet City from February 4th to 6th 2016.

UAV Explores the Heart of a Glacier

In the future, drones will likely be a tool for SAR professionals, perhaps something like a crevasse-penetrating concept. Flyability, an industrial drone manufacturer, released the video below, showing a UAV probing a crevasse in a SAR scenario.
