FMS selects ING Robotic Aviation’s Fixed Wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle system for forest fire fighting in Chile
iFMS Chile has purchased the Serenity fixed wing unmanned aircraft systems from ING Robotic Aviation in Canada for use in forest fire fighting in Chile. Serenity will be used for aerial survey of forest fires using both electro-optical and infrared cameras, in order to provide a wide range of imagery that will be used in immediate support of Chilean forest fire fighting. U.S. Geological Survey Plans Deer Counting Mission North of Las Vegas
The U.S. Geological Survey started using unmanned aircraft for wildlife and land management work about two years ago. Its first Nevada mission, planned for August or September, involves counting sheep and deer within the Desert National Wildlife Refuge north of Las Vegas. Continue reading
