AutoFlight, the Chinese eVTOL company, continues its global expansion and establishes its first location in Europe: A team led by former Airbus manager Mark R. Henning is now ramping up at Augsburg Airport in Germany. The team’s first task is to achieve European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for AutoFlight’s airtaxi ‘Prosperity I’, an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a range of approximately 250 kilometers. Kawasaki Heavy Industries has successfully completed proof-of-concept (PoC) testing for an unmanned cargo transport system. The system combines Kawasaki’s K-Racer-X1 prototype unmanned vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft and what is commonly described in the industry as an autonomous mobile robot, and which the company describes as a “delivery robot”. The Russian company UWCA (Ural works of civil aviation) runs a program to create a family of unmanned/optional-piloted aerial based on existing manned fixed wing aircraft models. It is planned to use the new multipurpose aircraft LMS-901 Baikal and the agricultural aircraft T-500 as the base for creating its primary UAVs.
