UVision Successfully Demonstrates Hero-400EC Extended-Range Loitering System

UVision Air Ltd. has successfully demonstrated the Hero-400EC extended-range loitering system for a strategic customer. The demonstration, which took place in southern Israel in December 2017, proved the tracking and lock-on capabilities of the system using a moving vehicle and a human target in various operational scenarios as well as its mission-abort capabilities. Ballard Launches Next Generation Fuel Cell System

Ballard Power Systems has announced that the company has developed a next generation high performance fuel cell propulsion system to power unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones. Ballard has also received a follow-on contract from Insitu, a Boeing subsidiary, for extended durability testing of the next-generation 1.3 kilowatt (kW) fuel cell propulsion system to power test flights of its ScanEagle UAV platform. Advanced Aircraft Hybrid Successful US Navy Trials

On November 28th and 29th, Advanced Aircraft Company conducted a flight demonstration of its Hybrid Advanced Multi-Rotor (HAMR) on the US Navy’s M80 Stiletto, based in Little Creek, VA. The HAMR unmanned aerial system (UAS) is a vertical takeoff and landing multi-rotor that has a greatly increased range and endurance relative to today’s battery powered multi-rotors.
