Motorola Solutions has completed the acquisition of D-Fend Solutions (D-Fend), an industry leader in counter-drone technology, for a purchase price of $1.5 billion. This deal provides public safety and enterprise customers with access to advanced counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) designed to safely neutralize rogue drone threats.
The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) has entered into an agreement with Terma for the delivery of a new, integrated command-and-control system for counter-drone defence. The system will create a shared drone situational picture for the Danish Armed Forces and other authorities.
An unmanned aircraft equipped with a microwave retroreflector, a device that bounces radar signals back with the strength of an object roughly twenty times its actual size, is designed to make one radar blip look like a genuine incoming strike drone. Continue reading
