In Memory of Stephen Allan May
It is with deep sorrow that we have learned that Steve May has unexpectedly passed away at the age of 70 on 14 February 2016, while taking his favourite walk on Swami’s Beach in Encinitas, near his home in San Diego, California.
Steve May (LtCol US Army rtd) was the former Manager of International Strategic Development for General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), in San Diego, Calif., USA, which he joined in 2001. In this position, he was responsible for promoting opportunities for the company’s full line of unmanned aircraft systems, tactical reconnaissance radars, and sensor systems to customers in Europe. RPAS CivOps Conference Postponed to January 2016
The Belgian government has announced that the high degree of security measures that is currently applicable in Brussels, Belgium has been extended until Monday evening 30 Nov. 2015 (when it will be reviewed). Taking into account the general safety of the conference attendees, the logistical problems that they may encounter and the incertainty of what next week will bring, this situation has, unfortunately, pushed us to decide that it is wisest to postpone the RPAS CivOps 2015 conference.
