The Civil RPAS Operators Forum

RPAS CivOps 2015 will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 2 & 3 December 2015. It has as purpose to inform the Civil Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Operators Community on the upcoming regulatory changes in Europe, and is being coordinated with the European Parliament & the European Commission.
Amongst others, the following organisations will be presenting on the following topics:
– European Parliament: The Safe Use of RPAS in the European Sky
– EC DG Mobility & Transport: The “RPAS” content in the European “Aviation Package”
– EC DG Mobility & Transport: The “Opinion” (on drones) of the European Commission
– EC DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs: How “Product Harmonization Legislation” & Market Surveillance Could Contribute to Drone Safety
– EC DG Agriculture & Rural Development: Upcoming RPAS-related Projects & Available Funding
– EC DG Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection (ECHO): RPAS for Civil Protection
– European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA): The (interim) conclusions of EASA’s A-NPA 2015-10
– Single European Sky ATM Research Joint Undertaking (SJU): RPAS Demonstration results & the RPAS Outlook study
– JARUS: Creation of the Stakeholder Consultation Body & Call for Subject Matter Experts
– “Drone-Rules.EU” Consortium: Introduction & Objectives of this Awareness Creation Tool
All RPAS-related regulatory actions and many RPAS-related undertakings planned & financed by the European Commission for 2016 and beyond will be presented.

Presentations by the following members of the “Conseil du Drone Civil” will put a focus on France (the country with the largest amount of certificated RPAS operators in Europe):
– DGAC (national aviation authority)
– FPDC (national federation of civil drone professionals)
– ENGIE (utility company – electricity & gas)
– SNCF (national railroad operator)
– Ministry of Economy & Finance
– Ministry of Defence
These presentations will explain (in English) the coordinated French national approach to promoting the RPAS market, improving safety & security, and advancing RPAS-related technology.
