Oklahoma State University UAS Programme in the Eye of the Storm
Oklahoma State University is flying away from the competition when it comes to unmanned aircraft systems. After the Federal Aviation Administration recently chose six test sites across the United States to begin research into UAS, some questioned why Oklahoma was not on the test site list. Morocco Now Has French Harfangs
International media sources have reported recently that Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF) has acquired the three ‘Harfang’ unmanned aircraft systems retired by the French Air Force after several years of service in Afghanistan. The Harfang, which is based on the Israeli IAI/Malat Heron-I system and deployed with the ‘Armee de’Lair’ in 2008, was delivered by EADS (Now Airbus Defense & Space), under the Eagle I cooperative development with Israel Aerospace Industries. Trimble has announced the addition of its Trimble UX5 unmanned aircraft system (UAS) to its Agriculture product portfolio for aerial imaging and mapping. The Trimble UX5 system can enable Ag service providers to easily capture aerial images for scouting and monitoring crop health such as detecting pests, weeds and nitrogen deficiencies.
