Spain Transfers Target Drone Technology to Brazil

Spain’s National Institute for Aerospace Technology has agreed on the transfer of technology to Brazil for the production of Diana target drones. The agreement was signed with Brazilian company Equipaer Ind Aeronáutica and includes the delivery of two aircraft and remote control mechanisms, a statement of the Defence Ministry’s institution said.The agreement will allow Brazil to market the drones in South American countries fotointerested in using them as part of their defense system, through an exclusive license for the production and commercial exploitation of the Diana technology in the region. During the signing, other contracts were also signed, including a collaboration agreement between the Spanish institution and Airbus Aerospace and Defence, the company in charge of supplying the Brazilian Air Force.
