US Army Issues RFI for Counter-UAS Technology

The US Army Fires Center of Excellence’s Capabilities Development Integration Directorate(CDID)TRADOC Capability Manager ADA Brigade Systems (ADA Bde),Fort Sill are requesting information from Defence Industry regarding a capability to provide Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System(C-UAS)capabilities to current and projected Army formations.

The resulting information will be used to assist the CDID in determining possible candidate systems for inclusion in Black Dart 2013, and developing future requirements and capabilities. This Request for Information effort will compile and assess capabilities and maturity of technologies available today and in the near-term based on technology readiness levels (TRL). Capabilities of interest include (but are not limited to): Battle Command and sensor systems that facilitate rapid detection, Identification and classification of UAS targets; Electronic systems that can interdict, defeat or deny enemy use of UAS; and systems providing the capability to intercept and destroy hostile UAS.
