Raytheon Gets $70M Predator Targeting System Contracts from US Air Force

The US Air Force has awarded two contracts totalling $70.5 million to defense contractor Raytheon Co. to support targeting systems used by missile-carrying Predator unmanned aircraft.

The Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base awarded the contracts.

Raytheon is to provide logistics support and improved imaging technology for the targeting systems. The contracts are to be completed by the end of 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013, respectively.

Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems unit is to do the work at its McKinney, Texas, facilities.
