NAMFI Certifies SCR Targets ALBA and SCRAB II Aerial Target Systems

During week 22 of 2013,  SCR together with its partner company ALTUS LSA, successfully certified the ALBA and SCRAB II aerial target systems at the NATO Missile Firing Installation (NAMFI) in Crete.

The certification process involved the flight of each drone within the NAMFI airspace at a variety of speed, altitude, distance and manoeuvre profiles. To be certified the systems are also required to have multiple safety systems in case of system failure and to be able to recover the aircraft at sea. This certification will allow the company to make different shooting exercises with different NATO countries and customers.

ALBA is a light weight high mobility and rapid deployment system, suitable for short range air defense system training and testing scenarios. SCRAB II is jet propelled, mid to high performance aerial target system, able to simulate fast moving, high manoeuvrability aerial threats for mid and long range air defence systems.
