The first unmanned reconnaissance aircraft MQ-9 Reaper in the Netherlands has been officially acquired from the manufacturer. With the US Air Force, Defense established that the aircraft meets the requirements. This was done via so-called acceptance flights.
Russian Helicopters has launched a new BAS-200 drone for geophysical explorations in Arctic. The helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) BAS-200 is intended for mineral explorations employing airborne gravimetric and magnetic mapping, including that in the Arctic region, the aviation cluster of Rostec State Corporation announced. The Israel Defense Forces fired an Iron Dome interceptor missile at a small unmanned aircraft that entered the country from Lebanon Friday, but missed it, the military said. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) supported a Military Free Fall (MFF) High-Altitude Training exercise for the U.S. Army’s 7th Special Forces Group (SFG) (Airborne) on January 20-21 and 27-28, 2022 during a joint training exercise in which a GA-ASI-owned MQ-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft monitored the jumps and provided critical overwatch capabilities.
