Zipline Valued at $1.2BN After $190M Funding Round

Healthcare drone delivery startup Zipline has raised $190 million in a new round of funding, taking its valuation to over $1 billion. The new funding will be used to further expand its reach across Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Americas. Zipline operates autonomous drones across remote areas that are hard to reach by road, airlifting medicines during emergencies. Continue reading

Skyports to Start Medical Drone Deliveries in Belgium

AZ Turnhout, the City of Turnhout and drone service provider Skyports will jointly test a new logistics service during which medical products will be transported by drone. Skyports’ drones will transfer pathology samples and pharmaceuticals between various hospital sites that would otherwise be moved by traditional ground-based transportation.
