Now, well over a decade after first taking to the skies and displaying so much promise, Northrop Grumman tells The War Zone that they are being prepared to be delivered to two aviation museums for display.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency intends to meet with interested contractors next month to discuss a new program aimed at building a small unmanned air system that would deploy and recover from a vessel’s flight deck or an austere ground site without requiring additional equipment. Revolver 860 developed by DronesVision is probably one of the most interesting drones used by Ukrainians . A large quadcopter is in practice a flying mortar – the drone is equipped with a revolver cartridge that can hold 8 60 mm mortar shells.
Forces of the Libyan National Army (LNA) shot down what appears to be either a Predator or Reaper drone. The downing occurred August 22 near Bengazi. The drone was brought down with a man-portable surface-to-air missile system (MANPAD). Continue reading
