On the static display at the 49th International Paris Air Show, Cassidian will present combat proven UAS with the DRAC presented by the French Army which operates it in Afghanistan, videos presenting HARFANG last accomplishments and the future MALE TALARION with a scale 1 mock-up.
UAS 2011 Conference – “A Historic Moment”
The first session of the conference was dedicated to International Regulatory Activities, with presentations from ICAO, JARUS, Eurocontrol, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Civil Aviation Authority, UK, and Federal Aviation Administration USA. To the surprise of some and to the delight of many, they all sounded as if they were either saying the same thing in slightly different words, or at very least had been carefully orchestrated to dovetail into on another.
13th Annual UAS Conference Opens Tomorrow in Paris
The 13th annual UAS Conference gets underway tomorrow in Paris at 2pm. First item on the agenda is a presentation of UVS International and its Board of Directors, an explanation of the Global Access Initiative, the activities deployed over the last 12 months, the objectives of the UAS 2011 conference and the association’s activities in the coming year.

EUROCAE Small RPA Expert Group to Deliver Status Report at UAS 2011 Conference in Paris
During the opening plenary session at next week’s UAS Conference in Paris, Ron van de Leijgraaf, JARUS Chairman (CAA, The Netherlands) and Leader of the EUROCAE Small RPA Expert Group, will present an Activity Update on Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Harmonisation.
European Commission UAS Panel – Special Session at UAS 2011
One of the biggest highlights at the forthcoming UAS 2011 Conference being held in Paris next week will be the session billed as the ‘EC UAS Panel & The European Commission’s Initiative Regarding the Development of a Strategy for the Future of UAS in the European Union.’ The presentation will reveal details of the recently created European Commission UAS Panel, its structure, work methodology, time-line and objectives. Taking part are: EC DG Enterprise, EC DG Mobility & Transport, EASA, and EUROCONTROL.
University of North Dakota First UAS Graduation Ceremony
Five of the nearly 1,500 graduates from the University of North Dakota at a recent cermony were the first graduates in the nation with degrees in Unmanned Aircraft Systems operations.
