UAVOS Fixed-Wing Sitaria Completed Flight Tests


UAVOS Inc. has completed a series of test flights of a new Sitaria fixed – wing UAV. The new UAV is designed for patrol and observation missions, for aerial photography of terrain area with a radius of up to 120 km. Among other tasks, the unmanned aircraft is purposely designed to work with the LIDAR airborne laser scanning equipment as payload. Continue reading

USAF Completes First Auto-Land Using MQ-9 BLOCK 5

On August 7, the U.S. Air Force (USAF) completed the first-ever automated landing of an MQ-9 Block 5 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), followed by the first auto-takeoff on August 9. The new Automatic Takeoff and Landing Capability (ATLC) was developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) to enhance mission capability. Continue reading

Elektra Solar Completes First Flight with Autopilot

Elektra Solar GmbH commissioned its new redundant autopilot system on 30.08.2018 and successfully demonstrated several autonomous flights with its high-altitude long endurance aircraft Elektra Two Solar.
