A LAM Linhas Aereas de Mocambique Boeing 737-700, registration C9-BAQ performing flight TM-136 from Maputo to Tete (Mozambique) with 80 passengers and 6 crew, was on approach to Tete’s runway 19 at about 4000 feet when the crew heard a loud bang, no abnormal indications followed. Following an official investigation into the crash landing, America’s National Transportation Safety Board found that wind and turbulence caused part of the wing to snap during flight.

An Air Combat Command accident investigation board report released Thursday said the Predator, forward deployed from the 432nd Wing at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, crashed on Oct. 17, 2015, after “experiencing electronic systems failure and loss of control due to a lightning strike.” Continue reading

The Taliban militants group in Afghanistan has claimed to capture a surveillance drone in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.The group’s spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said the drone was downed in Merano village of Behsud district of Nangarhar province.
