Ukrainian deftech company Twist Robotics has signed an agreement to establish a joint venture with Danish Vidar Industries. The partners will jointly produce Twist Robotics’ Saker UAVs for the European market: Scout, Hetman, and Hunter.
The companies are currently planning production processes, resolving regulatory issues, and preparing industrial facilities.
“The main option is licensing production in Denmark. Obtaining an export license may also be considered,”
Twist Robotics added. The parties plan to determine the final mechanism later.
In the joint venture, Twist Robotics will be responsible for technological development, product development, and innovation in Ukraine, while Vidar Industries will take care of production, quality control, scaling, etc..
Twist Robotics was founded in 2021. Its key products include the Saker UAV, the Obriy UAV mission simulator , and the Oscar visual navigation module, which are used in combat environments. The Saker line includes the following drones:
- Scout is a modular platform for relay, reconnaissance, strike operations and electronic warfare. It can stay in flight for up to 45 minutes, has day and night optical stabilization, supports autonomous navigation without GPS, automatic return and landing, and remote control via the Internet.
- Hunter is an aircraft-type drone that can also perform various types of tasks and operate without GPS. It has a flight range of up to 100 km, a duration of up to 70 minutes, and carries a payload of up to 5 kg.
- Hetman is a strike FPV drone with a digital video channel, its own Stezhka communication system, and a Cyclop automatic homing module. The flight range is up to 20 km, and the payload weight is up to 3 kg.
