Ukraine’s Amazing Drones Becomes a Terra Drone Subsidiary

Terra Drone Corporation, an Urban Air Mobility (UAM) technology company headquartered in Japan, announced that, building on its strategic investment in Amazing Drones LLC in Ukraine, previously announced on March 23, 2026, it will acquire 50% of the company’s shares through Terra Defense Europe, Terra Drone Group’s European base in Estonia, become its largest shareholder, and consolidate Amazing Drones as a subsidiary.

Through this consolidation, Terra Drone will welcome Amazing Drones into the Group as a consolidated subsidiary and will leverage the company’s locally developed technological capabilities and business foundation to accelerate and enhance the agility of its global expansion in the defense business. In addition, with the aim of building a layered defense solution capable of addressing increasingly diverse aerial threats, Terra Drone also announced on the same date that it will consolidate WinnyLab LLC, a Ukrainian interceptor drone company developing “Terra A2,” a wide-area, long-range fixed-wing interceptor drone, as a subsidiary.

Background

Since announcing its entry into the defense equipment market in March 2026, Terra Drone has been building its business foundation in the defense sector by leveraging the expertise it has cultivated in drone technology and traffic management systems.

Amazing Drones is a Ukrainian company that has independently developed and tested interceptor drones designed to counter long-range unmanned aerial threats such as the Shahed. The company has been focused on developing products that prioritize the rapid response capability and cost efficiency required under Ukraine’s demanding operational conditions.

As part of its defence business strategy, Terra Drone entered into a capital and business alliance agreement with Amazing Drones and made a strategic investment in the company. Since then, the two companies have been working together to evaluate the practicality and market potential of “Terra A1” and to discuss its commercial development. In April 2026, “Terra A1” successfully intercepted a Shahed drone, and verification of its effectiveness under actual operating conditions is ongoing.

Terra Drone has determined that, in the counter-drone defence domain, a product improvement cycle closely aligned with local operational environments, together with the ability to expand business globally, will be critical to strengthening competitiveness going forward. Accordingly, rather than remaining a financial investor, Terra Drone has decided to deepen its collaboration with Amazing Drones by making it a subsidiary and advancing its defence business as a group.

Key Features of “Terra A1”

“Terra A1” is an interceptor drone drawing attention as a new defence solution that can serve as an alternative to conventional high-cost interceptor missiles. It offers key advantages such as low cost, mass producibility, and rapid response capability. With a top speed of 300 km/h, exceeding the commonly cited speed of 200 km/h for Shahed-type drones, it provides coverage over a range of 32 km. Leveraging the high degree of stealth enabled by electric propulsion—namely low noise and a low thermal signature—it achieves a flight endurance of 15 minutes, allowing a single platform to carry out the full sequence from airspace surveillance to target detection and neutralization.

Purpose of the Consolidation

This consolidation is intended to strengthen the business foundation of Terra Drone’s defence operations and accelerate its global expansion. Going forward, Terra Drone will reinforce its group-wide collaboration framework by combining its global network with the development capabilities and business foundation that Amazing Drones has built locally, with the aim of creating medium- to long-term growth opportunities in the defense sector.

In addition, this consolidation will accelerate the strengthening of Terra Drone’s defense product portfolio. By integrating “Terra A1,” an interceptor drone designed for short-range response, with “Terra A2,” a fixed-wing platform designed for wide-area coverage, Terra Drone will advance the early realization of a layered defense solution aimed at addressing increasingly diverse aerial threats.

Overview of the Initiative

Through this consolidation, Terra Drone will strengthen the business foundation of “Terra A1” and enhance both its defense product portfolio and its overall proposal capabilities.

  1. Integration of Amazing Drones as a Group Company

Through this consolidation, Amazing Drones will become part of the Terra Drone Group, enabling the Company to more agilely strengthen its structure for decision-making, business development, and global expansion in the defense sector.

  1. Support for Local Product Improvement and Business Expansion

In the counter-drone defense domain, product improvement cycles tailored to local operational environments are a critical factor in determining product competitiveness. Terra Drone will strengthen the competitiveness of its defense business centered on “Terra A1” by supporting Amazing Drones’ locally driven product improvement efforts through the use of the Group’s global network.

Future Outlook

By combining “Terra A1,” designed for short-range response, with “Terra A2,” a fixed-wing platform for wide-area coverage, Terra Drone aims to contribute to addressing the security challenges faced by countries and regions around the world through a layered defense solution. The Company will continue to advance its expansion in the counter-drone defense market across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and other regions, while taking into account the regulatory frameworks and market environments of each country and region.

Going forward, Terra Drone will continue to leverage the expertise it has built in drone development and operations, traffic management systems, and global business expansion to create new business opportunities in the defense sector and enhance its corporate value over the medium to long term.
