– Lockheed Martin, PG&E Corporation, Salesforce, and Wells Fargo have launched EMBERPOINT LLC, a purpose-built venture to integrate next-generation wildfire solutions that help first responders detect, prevent, and fight catastrophic fires. The partnership aims to set a new standard in wildfire safety by combining capabilities no single company could deliver alone.
EMBERPOINT will apply artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and integrated command-and-control technologies to enable earlier detection, faster containment, and better coordination. Agencies and utilities will gain access to proven, advanced systems without the cost of developing them, helping communities benefit from more affordable wildfire prevention.
Lockheed Martin will contribute its layered approach to prediction and detection, along with autonomous response and suppression capabilities to support early intervention.
Pacific Gas and Electric Company will bring deep wildfire mitigation experience and proven risk-management practices across diverse communities. Contributions from Pacific Gas and Electric Company are subject to regulatory approval.
Salesforce will provide the digital foundation, integrating data streams into a real-time response engine using Agentforce and Slack to enable cross-organization coordination.
Wells Fargo is supporting the venture through a capital investment.
Why it Matters
Wildfires are an escalating national crisis, growing larger, more intense, and more frequent. They devastate communities, economies, and ecosystems while placing heavy financial strain on customers and taxpayers. By combining technology, data, and operational experience, EMBERPOINT seeks to equip firefighters and emergency responders with tools that improve speed, safety, and effectiveness in the field.
What’s Next
The EMBERPOINT team and technologies will be developed over the coming months, with demonstrations targeted for 2026.
