Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems, which develops reconnaissance and strike drones, has publicly presented its RAM-2X strike UAV with an X-shaped wing for the first time. The drone was shown at the MSPO arms exhibition in Poland.
The RAM-2X was designed to engage high-value targets at ranges of up to 180 km. The drone can stay airborne for over two hours and has a high degree of automation. It can carry a warhead with a 2.7 or 3.5 kg warhead.
“Each type of equipment performs its own task, and there must be an appropriate means of destruction for each target. Adhering to the principle of an integrated approach, we develop strike systems in several subclasses at once, built on unified nodes, a common ground station, and a single software,”
say representatives of Ukrspecsystems.
The RAM-2X can also use different AI assistant models to improve efficiency and work with different communication systems. The drone is capable of using multiple radio bands or Starlink.
In addition, the RAM-2X can work together with a repeater – the SHARK-M reconnaissance UAV. In this configuration, the reconnaissance drone provides target designation and helps to overcome enemy electronic warfare means.
According to Ukrspecsystems, RAM loitering munitions have hit over 450 targets. Despite the fact that footage of these drones in action regularly appeared in the public domain, the company was unable to publicly confirm its connection to RAM for a long time due to security restrictions.
Now Ukrspecsystems has decided to open its own “X-archive” – a series of publications with videos of combat use. The first selection was dedicated to the defeat of Russian air defence systems. Its publication was agreed with the military.
