International Drone Show 2024 May 29 at HCA Airport in Odense, Denmark

International Drone Show will once again gather drone experts from across the world for a day devoted to exploring the latest drone developments and the future of drone technology.

Industry specialists will share insights on conference themes such as legislation & operational safety, defence, security & the Arctic, industry use cases & new technologies – but that’s not all. This year, the show will include an array of special events before, during and after the show – all focused on fostering collaboration and showcasing Denmark’s drone ecosystem.

As a leader within drone tech in Northern Europe, Denmark will once again host its annual drone tech conference – one of the largest in the Nordics, organised by Odense Robotics, Denmark’s national cluster for robotics and drones, and UAS Denmark International Test Center, an internationally renowned test centre for drone technology.

On 29 May, hundreds of drone experts and stakeholders will meet at International Drone Show at HCA Airport in Odense, Denmark to explore the latest innovation in the drone industry and discuss its potential. Important business-centric insights will be featured in the four-track conference covering themes such as legislation and operational safety, defence, security & the Arctic, and industry use cases & new technologies.

Visitors can also experience a rich exhibition, several complex demo flights and B2B matchmaking.

“Drone technology is covering more ground than ever before with greater societal benefits and impact. The industry has also experienced many changes over the past few years and is constantly growing and developing. International Drone Show in Denmark brings together the entire industry across the commercial, private and public sectors for a day of knowledge exchange and networking. It’s a unique meeting place where drone companies from across Europe and beyond can connect with important stakeholders from the industry – and meet new collaboration partners,”

says Søren Elmer Kristensen, CEO of Odense Robotics.

Two days of drone insights and networking

IDS 2023 took place in August this year with great attendance. Around 70 industry experts from across the world showcased the latest drone solutions and/or shared the latest drone insights.

With more than 400 industry professionals at IDS 2023 from Germany, Israel, Spain, Holland, U.S.A, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Great Britain and more, IDS 2024 aims to be even bigger with several pre-events for Danish and international drone organisations, as well as during and after the event.

IDS 2024 will take place just outside of Odense at HCA Airport, home to UAS Denmark Test Center, one of the main drone hubs in Northern Europe. The centre features BVLOS flights, a C-UAS centre, R&D facilities, a business park and more – including 1,900 square kilometre airspace over land and sea – and collaborates closely with the University of Southern Denmark and Danish Defence.

“For several years now, IDS has brought drone professionals from around the globe together to explore industry insights and foster new collaborative relationships. With IDS 2024, we will offer even better opportunities for collaboration and networking by introducing our guests even further to a robotics and drone ecosystem, which is virtually second-to-none,”

says Michael Larsen, Head of UAS Denmark Test Center.

The Danish drone ecosystem has come together to offer even more pre-events than usual. These include special in-depth dives on the Danish drone ecosystem – one with a tour around the robotics and drone cluster. For a more casual setting, participants can join a networking get-together at the popular Storms Pakhus, and the day of IDS 2024 will offer exclusive B2B matchmaking sessions, where it will be possible to pre-book 1:1 meetings. Finally, the show will end with an after-hours networking dinner.
