The Third Global Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Symposium (RPAS/3) took place from 10 to 12 September 2018 in Chengdu, China.
The symposium brought together key stakeholders from industry, academia, government and international organizations in the aviation sector to exchange research, best practices, lessons learned and respective challenges. Attention was focused on complex issues, such as categorization for RPAS operations, which need to be addressed collectively in order to integrate RPAS into the global aviation system.
Approximately 600 persons attended. In parallel, an RPAS exhibit (42 Chinese professional RPAS manufacturers) took place.
