AEgis Delivers Commercial UAS Simulation to Southern Utah University

AEgis Technologies has partnered with Southern Utah University to deliver its commercial UAS simulation, Vampire Pro and Team. The university will be using the simulation software in its unmanned aircraft flight labs which are required courses in the Unmanned Aircraft Operator Specialization of the Aviation, A.A.S. degree.

Vampire Pro and Team is an affordable, high fidelity, commercial and scalable drone training simulator solution. Vampire Pro provides a robust and challenging training environment in drone application and operations which allows operators the opportunity to get hands-on drone operation experience in realistic virtual scenarios and applications without risk to property or personnel. Vampire Team is an enhancement feature of Vampire Pro that provides for the wireless networking of multiple Vampire Pro simulators in an interactive classroom environment.

“The Vampire Pro and Team simulator will be incorporated as a critical component of unmanned aircraft systems education at Southern Utah University,” said Sean Heiner, Chair of Aviation Sciences, Southern Utah University. “The university sees the value the unmanned aircraft industry may have on the future of society and is excited to prepare its students to participate constructively in this industry. This simulator will allow students to complete missions similar to real-world missions from the safety and security of the classroom. This controlled environment will prepare students to be responsible unmanned aircraft operators and will prepare them to successfully conduct real-world missions using real unmanned aircraft systems.”
