World Economic Forum in Davos Secured by Dedrone

DroneTracker in Davos

From January 17th to 20th, 2017, the 47th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum took place in Davos, Switzerland. To protect against drones, forces responsible for security put their trust in a drone defense system from Dedrone.

Police in the Canton of Graubünden, where the forum was held, used Dedrone’s Drone Tracker system to monitor critical airspace above the area of operations in real time. This provided early warning so authorities were prepared to intervene while drones could still be stopped, using technology by HP Wüst as a defense.

CEO Jörg Lamprecht“The risks for high-profile events such as the World Economic Forum are many and varied. Organizers must be prepared against all dangers—even against drone attacks,” says Dedrone CEO Jörg Lamprecht.

“With our technology, the organizer was able to ensure that security plans were up to date to defend against this new threat,” Lamprecht added. “The World Economic Forum is the very definition of a world-class event. Once again, DroneTracker was able to contribute to safety at a prominent occasion, just as it did for the Clinton-Trump debates in the US.”
