MQ-1 Predator Crash in Southeastern Iraq

An Air Force MQ-1 Predator Remotely Piloted Aircraft crashed in Iraq at approximately 8:30 a.m. local time, June 22, 2015.

The aircraft was flying a combat mission supporting anti-ISIS operations when positive control of the aircraft was lost. There are no reports of civilian injuries or damage to civilian property at the crash site.

The RPA crash was not due to enemy fire and a board will convene to determine the specific cause of the crash.
