Aermatica Receives First Italian Authorization to Conducty a Crtitical RPAS Operation

Anteos-Slide-1Italian company Aermatica, using its Anteos RPA  has received the first authorization to conduct a critical operation in Italy. This authorization was issued in accordance with the Regulations on Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems (RPAS) brought out by ENAC, the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (2004.01)

The approval was granted after the Operator received Certification of fulfilment of all the corresponding requirements of the Regulations.

This important result has allowed Aermatica to carry out inspections at the industrial site of ENEL in Livorno, thereby completing a process that had been initiated some time ago with ENEL – one of the most important companies in the world in the electricity sector (power production and distribution network).

This paves the way for intensive use of the Anteos RPA system in industrial context, thanks to its various payloads (sensor cameras, thermal and hyperspectral sensors, gas detectors). The system allows to reduce the risks for operators and shorten inspection time, thus improving operating conditions and significantly decreasing costs for maintenance operations.
