From discussions on the Realities of Drone Delivery to a forum on Finding Funding: The VC Community Speaks, Drone World Expo taking place November 15-16 at the San Jose Convention Center will offer something for everyone interested in the use of drones for commercial purposes. Of the speakers, there are dozens of prominent women who will take the stage to talk about their involvement in this fast- paced and growing industry.
“Drone World Expo is proud to feature and celebrate so many talented women leaders at our event and provide a forum for women from all aspects of the business to connect,” said Joelle Coretti, Event Director, Drone World Expo. “The overall success of the drone industry depends upon fostering diversity, developing talent and promoting numerous opportunities for career advancement and many of these women are doing just that within their organizations.”
Dr. Kerry Palakanis, DNP, NP-C, Crisfield Clinic is a panelist on “The Realities of Drone Delivery” session at Drone World Expo. While the concept of drone delivery originally seemed like a marketing gimmick, it has become a serious business for many companies. Many companies are looking at new opportunities to deliver humanitarian aid, medical supplies and more.
“I am looking forward to sharing information about the project development for drone medicine delivery to a rural community with Ellumen Inc. and Zipline as well as pleased to be in a conference that showcases women leaders in drone innovations,” Palakanis said.
In addition, Gretchen West, Senior Advisor of Innovation and Technology, Hogan Lovells will moderate the Women of Commercial Drones Networking Breakfast and Panel Discussion.
