Hex Airbot $50 3D-Printed Nanocopter Shatters Kickstarter Target


The Hex Kickstarter campaign was launched on August 26 with a modest goal of $10,000, but by Tuesday September 3, a total of $200,000 had been pledged. Hex is a completely open source nanocopter kit made by a community of makers from around the world. It’s also the world’s first  consumer electronic product that uses 3D printing technology to achieve personalisation.

The Hex is made by a team of makers coming from different parts of the world who believe that UAS will be a big part of our future.  The team is made up of designers as well as software and hardware engineers. They have been making and researching UAS for the past year and hope this is just the first of many projects related to UAS technology. With support vis Kickstarter, they hope to develop Hex nanocopters into a very customizable experience.
