Czech UAS Regulation Published and Open for Public Consultation

On 25 August 2011, the national Czech UAS regulation was published in the Czech Republic. It will become effective on 1st March 2012 so that the stakeholders are informed in advance of this general concise regulatory framework. More details will be included in the Czech CAA Directive, which is being drafted.

The main reason for producing this publication was to enhance the safety of air navigation and of people and property on the ground, as unregulated recreational and commercial unmanned aircraft operations have been expanding with negative impact on safety. The new regulation complies with the provisions of the valid national aviation law, which does not well reflect recent technological developments. After the law is amended, this current regulation may be further developed.
