MQ-9 Damaged On Landing in New Mexico

Officials with the 49th Wing said last Thursday that a remotely piloted MQ-9 Reaper sustained damage during landing at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, at approximately 1 p.m.

The aircraft is assigned to the 29th Attack Squadron, which is a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Flying Training Unit. The accident occurred at the end of a local training mission.

No one was injured and no private property was damaged. No other information about the crash was made available. A board will be convened to investigate the cause of the accident.
