EUROCONTROL Announces Communication, Navigation & Surveillance Symposium

Aviation and its infrastructure will need to adapt in the face of new emerging concepts and applications. A wide range of factors will influence the introduction of new concepts and technologies aimed at enhancing existing communication, navigation and surveillance (CNS) domains, which can no longer be considered as independent silos.

Against this background, EUROCONTROL is organising a two-day interactive CNS Symposium at its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium on 2 & 3 October 2018. This symposium, composed of a plenary and brainstorming sessions, aims at gathering the perspective from all Members States, international organisations, ANSPs, aviation users, industry and universities on the evolution of CNS systems and applications. There will be considerations and discussions to identify revolutionary and advanced CNS alternatives supporting RPAS being operated in the absence of navigational aids.

An exhibition will help showcase high-potential applications and solutions proposed by industry, as well as ongoing research activities. Exhibition possibilities will be free-of-charge. A networking social event (a walking dinner) is planned on 2 October 2018.

Symposium attendance is free-of-charge, but pre-registration here is required.
