Auterion Introduces Nemyx System Agnostic Vertical Drone Launch System

Auterion has introduced the Nemyx Vertical Launch System (Nemyx VLS), a modular launcher for drones from multiple manufacturers. It extends Nemyx, the Auterion swarm engine, from software into the hardware that puts drones in the air. The same launcher takes high-volume commercial drones, strike drones and interceptors.

Inside each tube, drones are stacked vertically. An electric elevator carries the next drone to the top for launch, whatever the airframe. Because drones stack in the tube and ride up to the launch position, Nemyx VLS packs 30% more drones into the same volume than launchers without an elevator.

Tubes are available for 10-inch FPVs and for interceptors, and a separate loitering munition container takes typical mid-range loitering munitions. Tubes can be grouped as 2×2 or 4×4 arrays, or fill a whole ISO container.

Nemyx VLS works with drones from Auterion partners including Skyfall, Airlogix, Rheinmetall, DeltaQuad and Griffon Aerospace. A customer can add or change drone suppliers without replacing the launcher. The system is already integrated with the leading armoured vehicle manufacturers in the U.S. and Germany.

Any Auterion-powered vehicle can hand a target to Nemyx VLS and trigger a single launch or a swarm launch. A human designates every target; the software automates execution after that decision. Stored drones stay connected to the launcher, which charges them, holds them in powered standby and installs software updates. Drones are ready to launch without a crew opening the tube.

The system is environmentally sealed. An integrated battery runs it for multiple hours, and on external power it can stay forward-deployed for months or years.

“Most drone launchers are built for one drone from one vendor, so every new drone brings another box to carry, power and maintain,”

said Dr. Lorenz Meier, founder and CEO of Auterion.

“Nemyx VLS works the other way around. Operators pick the drones, and the launcher keeps every one of them charged and up to date.”
