Ukrainian developer Vluchnyk has unveiled the Zorelit v5, a jet-powered interceptor designed to destroy Russia’s kamikaze and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the developer’s statement, based on the results of a full cycle of internal tests, the “Zorelit v5” confirmed the declared tactical and technical characteristics. It supports an AI-powered target detection system that identifies targets during the final stage of an intercept.
It is also compatible with Ukraine’s SkyMap command-and-control software, which calculates optimal flight routes based on target trajectories and the interceptor’s remaining battery power.
“Zorelit v5″ has passed a full cycle of tests and is ready for delivery to the troops. We are open to direct contracts with military units today, and after codification we will make the product available through eBals,”
said Stepan Radibog, director of Vluchnyk LLC.
Zorelit v5 was developed from the earlier Zorelit v4 interceptor, which the company says has been used in combat, entered service and received a NATO Stock Number (NSN). Some technical solutions proved in combat were carried over to the new version. The new variant supports remote control and can transmit live video over the internet.
Vluchnyk’s website lists the price of one Zorelit v5 at UAH 89,500 (US$2,000).
The standard configuration includes a rotating camera, an open-source radio-control system, a 2.5-watt video transmitter, and a remote detonation system for its warhead.

Performance
The Zorelit v5 can reach speeds of up to 416 kilometers (258 miles) per hour and has a maximum range of 47 kilometers (29 miles) on a single charge. At a cruising speed of about 200 km/h, the flight duration can reach approximately 17 minutes.
It can carry a warhead weighing up to 600 grams (21 ounces).
