Delair-Tech to Perform Test Flights in Nevada

Delair America Inc, a Delair-Tech company, has announced that the company has reached an agreement with the Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems (NIAS USA) to perform a series of test flights at the Nevada Test Site in Reno by the end of May 2017.

Delair-Tech was chosen as a manufacturer and operator with advanced expertise in flying fixed-wing technology under BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line Of Sight) scenarios. The DT18, one of Delair-Tech’s UAS flagship products has been certified for BVLOS flights by the National Aviation Authority in France and various other countries around the world.

Per the Nevada Test Site’s COA, Delair-Tech will be one of the UAS operators flying its fixed-wing drone up to 15 miles from the ground control station. Ultimately, the goal of these tests is to collect the autopilot data from the DT18 as well as from other UAS platforms into the UTM system designed by NASA.

Different use cases will be performed over several days in order to collect a significant amount of data to complete the NASA UTM TCL2.
