Searcher Wreckage Found off Indian Coast

navy-spy-drone-epsThe wreckage of an aircraft which fished out by fishermen off Arthunkal coast are the parts of the crashed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of the Navy.  The Navy officials said that the parts of craft are the Israel made Searcher UAV which crashed off Kochi coast nine miles away on Wednesday night.  The drone was crashed during its routine surveillance in  sea off Kerala coast.

Two parts of the aircraft was found on Chethi and Mararikulam beach on Thursday evening. A description was printed on a part. It is written as  ‘Israel Aircraft Industries Limited, IAI MALAT Division.

Military Aircraft Group’. The Navy officials reached Arthunkal Police station on Friday morning and shifted the parts to Kochi Southern Naval Command.

One part having two metre length and it was found by the local fishermen at Mararikulam beach.  Another part was trapped on the net of fishermen and they brought it to shore at Chethi.

The Israeli made UAVs have been using for surveillance in sea and land.  It has capacity to fly about 50 hours continuously and regularly using for searching coastal areas.
